NUME - O Poder do Oculto no Character Design [pt/br]
Este projeto tem como objetivo investigar as teorias arquetípicas desenvolvidas por Carl Gustav Jung, suas aplicações propostas pelo indicador MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) e as contribuições da Psicologia Arquetípica de James Hillman. A partir desse estudo, foram concebidos personagens originais que traduzem visual e conceitualmente diferentes arquétipos psicológicos. Como resultado do processo criativo, foi desenvolvido um universo ficcional próprio, composto por quatro personagens autênticos e suas respectivas narrativas e simbolismos.
NUME – The Power of the Occult in Character Design [en]
This project aims to investigate the archetypal theories developed by Carl Gustav Jung, their applications proposed through the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and the contributions of James Hillman's Archetypal Psychology. Based on this study, original characters were conceived to visually and conceptually embody different psychological archetypes. As a result of the creative process, an original fictional universe was developed, comprising four authentic characters along with their respective narratives and symbolic meanings.

Na primeira etapa do projeto, foi realizada uma pesquisa aprofundada sobre os arquétipos associados ao MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), investigando suas características psicológicas, padrões de comportamento, motivações, formas de interação e simbolismos. Esse estudo teve como objetivo compreender como diferentes perfis de personalidade podem ser traduzidos em elementos visuais e narrativos, estabelecendo uma base conceitual sólida para o desenvolvimento de personagens autênticos e coerentes com seus respectivos arquétipos.

In the first stage of the project, an in-depth study of the archetypes associated with the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) was conducted, examining their psychological characteristics, behavioral patterns, motivations, modes of interaction, and symbolic meanings. The purpose of this research was to understand how different personality profiles could be translated into visual and narrative elements, establishing a solid conceptual foundation for the development of authentic characters that faithfully embody their respective archetypes.

Após a etapa de pesquisa, o universo ficcional de Nume começou a tomar forma. O nome deriva do latim numen, termo utilizado para designar uma divindade, uma presença espiritual ou uma força inspiradora de natureza transcendente. Essa etimologia foi escolhida por representar a essência do projeto: a ideia de que a personalidade humana é influenciada por forças simbólicas e arquétipos que orientam comportamentos, valores e formas de perceber o mundo.

Following the research phase, the fictional universe of Nume began to take shape. The name derives from the Latin word numen, a term used to describe a divinity, a spiritual presence, or an inspiring force of transcendent nature. This etymology was chosen because it encapsulates the essence of the project: the idea that human personality is influenced by symbolic forces and archetypes that shape behaviors, values, and ways of perceiving the world.

Nesse contexto, Nume é concebido como um planeta habitado pelos Numinus, seres cuja constituição psicológica é influenciada pelos Satélites Numens — entidades singulares que personificam diferentes princípios arquetípicos. Esses oito satélites são distribuídos em quatro órbitas que convergem em dezesseis Eixos Numinus, uma estrutura que simboliza a formação e a interação entre os diferentes tipos de personalidade.
Para representar visualmente esse sistema, foi desenvolvida uma roda conceitual que traduz a organização psicológica dos habitantes de Nume. Mais do que um elemento gráfico, a roda funciona como um mapa simbólico das relações entre os arquétipos, demonstrando como diferentes características coexistem, se complementam e se manifestam na construção das identidades dos Numinus. Dessa forma, o universo de Nume torna-se uma metáfora para a própria complexidade da psique humana, transformando conceitos abstratos de personalidade em um sistema visual, narrativo e mitológico próprio.

In this context, Nume is conceived as a planet inhabited by the Numinus, beings whose psychological constitution is influenced by the Numens Satellites—singular entities that embody different archetypal principles. These eight satellites are distributed across four orbits that converge into sixteen Numinus Axes, a structure that symbolizes the formation and interaction of different personality types.
To visually represent this system, a conceptual wheel was developed to translate the psychological organization of Nume's inhabitants. More than a graphic element, the wheel functions as a symbolic map of the relationships between archetypes, illustrating how different characteristics coexist, complement one another, and manifest in the construction of the Numinus identities. In this way, the universe of Nume becomes a metaphor for the complexity of the human psyche itself, transforming abstract concepts of personality into an original visual, narrative, and mythological system.
